The starting point of this study is the metamorphopsis seen by patients suffering from macular degeneration. Visual malperception enlarges the conventional three-dimensional Euclid space and the onedimensional time into a pluri- dimensional non- Euclidean space (hyperbolic, spherical, fractal) and two- dimensional time (kinesis = movement, metabole = change). Science and art give impulses to question limits and norms disclosing new horizons of existence. Regarding geometrical elements like point, line, plane, numbers and symbols, we can go beyond reality. The aim of abstract art is to recognise the world as a whole, as a vision, or as pure idea. Diagnosis of time means the review of our relation to history and nature. Can we make time reversible to forecast future as we determine the laws of nature? We are all asked to learn from scientific revolutions more than from historical events or persons. Understanding dimensions of time and space can lead us to better orientation in a changing world.
